Importance of reading in childhood

Reading is a habit and, like so many others, it needs to be encouraged from the earliest years. Reading provides countless benefits to readers and when stimulated from childhood the positive impacts can be much greater.

This practice should be included in the routine in a natural way, so that the child does not feel pressured, but rather turns it into leisure, understanding its numerous possibilities for learning and fun.

Among the benefits of reading in childhood, the expansion of literacy stands out. Furthermore, through books, children can be placed in different communication situations, which makes them increasingly aware of their role in the world. Reading also encourages concentration, memory, reasoning and comprehension, stimulates oral language and expands creativity.
